About us
What is now known as the Pest Control Association of Nigeria started from a meeting of Pest Controllers in WEMABOD Estate Limited, Lagos on i6th August, 1989. Initially, the nascent Association was named the National Pest Controllers Association of Nigeria. However, it was later to be renamed "PEST CONTROL ASSOCIATION OF NIGERIA", IN 1990. The formal registration of the Association under the land/(peretual succession) Act CAP 98 was made on 5th November, 1991 (Reg No. 6270.)
The first executives of the Association were soon after duly elected with late Mr. Olaribigbe Oluwo Ilori as President, Mr. Kayode Odubogim emerged as the Vice President, Alhaji Yekini Owolabi Gbadamosi the Treasurer and Mr. O.C Bakare the Secretary-General. Then, meetings were held once a month in the office of Niger meri Exterminating and Pest Control Company, Lagos.

In 2016 the leadership of PECAN took a strategic decision to partner with Jambolo Online Services an aggregator of artisan/blue collar services in Nigeria.
